14 Jun 2024 12:03Danny wouldn't have resorted to this if his parents had listened to him... or if they hadn't fought quite so fiercely about when Cherie Chase would stop fieldwork when she was pregnant with Maylis. As it is, he's concerned about his much younger sister being orphaned because John and Cherie Chase refuse to slow down.
Their age and family situation are factors that have had other spies deciding to take desk jobs within the Bureau, leaving the fieldwork -- and its dangers -- to younger agents. Younger agents like him.
They have done so much. And yet, they don't see that it's enough.
But maybe they can be scared out of it. That's why Danny is meeting with Gemini, who promised to fulfill the request in exchange for a future favor.
The meeting place is a Brooklyn apartment owned by the Central Bureau of Investigation. No other agent has been assigned to it at the moment, and Danny has swept through the entire place with his telekinesis to get rid of any listening bugs.
Now he's just waiting for Gemini to show up.
